Real Wedding by Angela Campanelli & John Oliveri Foto Studio
It was love at first sight. When Cettina and Nizar met through friends they knew that their love would last a lifetime. The pair was together for 6 years when Nizar proposed at a New Year's Eve party on January 1st, 2005. Cettina was the lucky winner of a contest draw being held at the party. Little did she know that her prize would be a bouquet of flowers with an engagement ring tucked carefully on top. Nizar then told his future bride-to-be, "You're the love of my life. I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?"
Cettina and Nizar's wedding was certainly an extraordinary event. The melange of both Italian and Arabic cultures rendered the wedding to be a remarkable event. The gathering of both families brought about a day that was unique and certainly not one to be forgotten. On Friday night, they held an Arabic Muslim ceremony and the following Saturday was the Italian ceremony with some Arabic touches. Cettina's exuberant personality fused with Nizar’s suave character was apparent in various details throughout the wedding thanks to the meticulous planning of wedding coordinator, Antoinette Iacobacci. Lime, turquoise and yellow dressed the beautiful wedding party and brought a splash of dazzling color to an already beautiful day. The couple’s love for each other shined as the day progressed, leading to the extravagant reception where they celebrated with their families and danced the night away.
