A storyteller through images is oftentimes how Manny Favas of Papillion Studios has been described. The method used in getting this wedding story is nothing short of an art form.

The key to his unique photojournalistic style of shooting is establishing a close relationship with each couple. Manny's role as a “director” is about motivating every bride and groom to give the very best of themselves. “It’s all about energy”, he says.

After nearly 25 years as an advertising and wedding photographer, Manny has established a style and work ethic that reflects both disciplines, with the end result being a wedding which will be remembered not only for those poignant moments that perfectly reflect the personalities of the bride and groom, but also for the experience which was shared between photographer and couple.

Manny was thrilled to tell the story of Rachel & Bernie; a truly great pair that personify class and simplicity, who from the very start had the utmost confidence in their photographer to get the job done right. Carte blanche was given with a simple request: that the entire family be included as much as possible in the wedding reportage and not only in the formal portraits. "Is there any other way of shooting a wedding? Including the entire family is a custom which dates back to the early years of wedding photography,” was Manny's response.

The day was magnificent. Rachel and Bernie were serene and relaxed and the entire family blended in like actors following the script of a love story, and the rest is history.
